HOMESCHOOL CLASSES

Registration Form

All classes last two terms. Each term is 16 weeks long.
Price listed is per term per student.
A minimum of four students must be enrolled in a class for that class to be offered. Maximum class size: 12
Enrollment is complete once the Registration Form is submitted, and Class Fee & Material Fee are paid in full.

Agreement

This agreement is made between Greater mPower Tutoring, llc, referred to as the “Provider”, and the student, referred to as the “Student”. If the student is under the age of eighteen, then this agreement is between the Provider and the parent or legal guardian of the student, referred to as the “Parent”. If the student is under the age of eighteen, the Parent agrees to this contract on behalf of the student, and further agrees to enforce the Student’s compliance with the terms of this contract. By making payment to the Provider, the Student and Parent, as applicable, agree to all of the terms of this contract.

Term

The term of this agreement is effective upon payment being made to the Provider. The contract will remain in effect until the last term purchased by the Student and Parent, as applicable, has concluded.

Duties

The Provider agrees to assign an Instructor to the Student to provide instruction in the subject matter selected by the Student. The Student will make themselves available during the posted class hours, for the duration of the term. If the Provider cannot provide an Instructor in the selected subject matter, within twenty-one days of payment either: (i) the Provider will refund the payment; or (ii) at the sole discretion of the Provider, the Provider will hold the payment until such time as an Instructor in the selected subject matter can be found. The Provider is not liable for assignments that are cancelled by the Student or Parent, as applicable.

Obligations of the Instructor

• The Instructor undertakes to do all preparation prior to lessons and to structure lessons in such a way as to optimize time to the benefit of the Student. • The Instructor shall keep confidential all information of the Student and shall contact other parties involved in the education of the Student only if given written permission by the Student to do so. • The Instructor shall not assign any of his/her duties or obligations under this contract to a third party without the written permission of the Provider. • The Instructor shall at no time be required or obliged to execute homework or assignments on behalf of the Student. • The Instructor shall provide two reports on the Student's progress: an Interim Report, to be delivered within a week of the completion of week 8 of the term, and a Final Report, to be delivered within two weeks of the completion of week 16 of the term. After the completion of the term, the Parent shall be responsible for all revisions to grades due to resubmitted or newly completed assignments.

No Warranties

The Provider makes no promises or warranties with regards to a Student's performance as a result of any instruction provided.

Obligations of the Student

• The Student undertakes to assist the Instructor in identifying problem areas in which the Student needs additional explanation. • The Student agrees that assignments, exercises or homework form an integral part of learning and undertakes to complete such work timeously.

Attendance Policy

The Parent commits to have their child attend classes the entire term. No refunds (full or partial) will be issued for students that are withdrawn after August 21, 2023. It is the duty of the parents to ensure that the Student fulfills the required attendance hours mandated by their local governing body. It is also the duty of the Parents to ensure that the Student attends class, participates, and completes assignments timeously. CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY INSTRUCTOR In exceptional circumstances, a lesson may have to be cancelled and rescheduled, in which case the instructor will give as much notice to the Student as possible.

Payment

The Student or Parent, as applicable, agrees to make payments in full for the material fee and class term fee. All payments shall be made on the company website before the term begins.

Nondisclosure of Confidential Information

The Student and Parent, as applicable, will not disclose any confidential information related to the Provider, including but not limited to company service strategies, operations, systems, techniques, marketing plans and tactics, private and commercial contacts, clients, tutors, contracts, financial matters, or expansion plans. Confidential information is defined as any information that is generally unknown to individuals who are not the Provider’s personnel. The Student and Parent, as applicable, also agree not to disclose any confidential information for three years after the termination of this agreement.

Protection of Documents

The Student and Parent, as applicable, will not reconfigure or utilize the Provider’s copyrights, trademarks, logos, patents, documentation, or information relative to the aforementioned for personal or business gain. The Student and Parent, as applicable, also agree not to provide this information or a reconstructed version of this material to another individual for three years after the termination of this agreement.

Loss of Fees/Liquidated Damages

The Student and Parent, as applicable, agree not to solicit clients, personnel, or contracts that were secured by, enrolled with, or partners of the Provider during the term of this agreement and for two years after its termination. If the Student or Parent, as applicable, fails to abide by this agreement, he or she is subject to pay liquidated damages equivalent to the estimated cost of lost fees.

No Partnership

The Instructor cannot enter into agreements or contracts on behalf of the Provider.

Reasonableness

The Student and Parent, as applicable, knowingly, and voluntarily commits to this agreement.

Dispute Resolution

All matters and any disputes hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The Parties to this agreement hereby consent to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the Georgia state courts. In the event of a dispute, the Provider, its Representatives, and the Student and Parent, as applicable, agree to participate in all available alternative dispute resolution mechanisms offered by the courts. The Provider will not be responsible for the legal fees of the Student or Parent, as applicable, even if the Student or Parent, as applicable, prevails in any dispute.

General Provisions

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the matters covered herein. No waiver by any party to enforce any provision of this agreement will be effective unless made in writing and signed by each party. No amendment or modification is effective unless made in writing and signed by each party.

MATH CLASSES

All math classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Math Mastery 3rd - 5th $225

11:00 am - 11:55 am
Covers the foundations necessary for future success in math.
Math Mastery Algebra $275

1:00 pm - 1:55 pm
Covers the major topics in Algebra 1 (Fall) and 2 (Spring).

Material Fee

The Material Fee is paid ONCE per term, per student. It covers the resources used in class.

SPANISH CLASSES

This year, all Spanish classes are offered through the Epic Homeschool Network.

Spanish Class - HS -

10:00 am - 10:55 am
Meets Tuesdays in-person & virtually on Thursdays. Class content aligns with Georgia Foreign Language Standards.
Spanish Class - ES -

11:05 am - 12:00 pm
Meets Tuesdays. Children's introduction to the Spanish language and varying cultures.
Spanish Class - MS -

1:05 pm - 2:05 pm
Meets Tuesdays. Students' introduction to Spanish vocabulary and basic conversational skills.
